Empowering youth through peer support,
skill-building and prevention services
Tewa Roots Society Basecamp is an ongoing youth prevention program open to Native American youth in and around the Pueblo of Nambé, including youth enrolled in surrounding northern New Mexico tribes.
Our mission is to develop a youth-lead, peer support network focused on inclusion, healthy risk-taking, and strength-based empowerment. Members of the Basecamp have access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources developed to address the systemic and historic disadvantages that Native American communities face, while providing Native American youth unique access to tools that will integrate cultural, educational, professional, and interpersonal opportunities for growth and success. |
